The
present look of the room is due to a late nineteenth
century's renovation. The furniture includes four imposing
glass bookcases arranged along the walls and a big rectangular
table with lyre rods, around which there are arranged
chairs with backs and crossbars in engraved walnut (Lombardy,
XVIIc).

The
library contains a remarkable book patrimony, even if
it is clear the lack of a unitary plan in the volumes
collection.
Numerous are the travel and exploration books, and those
about the Near East linguistics, proofs of the cultural
interests of Francesco Miniscalchi (1811-1875), who
in his youth studied Turkish, Arabic, Syrian, Persian
and Hebrew. Traveller for study and for pleasure, he
also published some texts on Oriental studies.

Big chair with arm-rests (Verona, XVIIc.).
